My Life as a Forensic Chemist
In Greenville we have several disciplines in which we provide services. They are Drug Analysis, Ballistics Comparison and DNA Analysis. As a Criminalist, it is my job to examine evidence in criminal cases. I started in the lab on July 22, 1991 in Drug Analysis. As of April 9, 2024, I have testified 172 times as an expert witness in Drug Analysis. From 2003 to 2006 I also performed Gunshot Residue Analysis (GSR) using a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). I have testified 3 times as an expert witness in GSR Analysis. The links below will give you more information about some sections of the Greenville Lab. I don't have anything for DNA. I'm sure someone has done a much better job on the internet explaining it than I ever could. The Greenville Crime Lab no longer provides service for Document Analysis, Gunshot Residue Analysis and Fire Debris Analysis (Arson).

If you have any questions or want more details about something please e-mail me. The following link is for the American Academy of Forensic Sciences page. It is, in my opinion, the best single source for information and it has a good many links to other organizations as well.
